Since my studies, I have focussed on robotic systems, as I have long been fascinated by this technology and its potential applications. In addition to the technical challenges, interdisciplinary perspectives are also important to me, both for the sensor technology and control/navigation of robots (inspired by animals and humans) and their application (in medicine or nursing/home care). The acceptance of robotic systems also requires the ethical and social embedding and demonstration of the technologies in laboratories.
