My research focuses on ultrafast phenomena in condensed matter involving light-matter interaction and the role of strongly coupled electronic-nuclear motion in energy relaxation and charge transfer dynamics on femtosecond timescales. A detailed understanding of these processes is crucial for developing strategies to manipulate nanoscale energy and charge transport, for the rational design of efficient materials and device functionalities, and for advancing their use in emerging quantum technologies. To this aim, our approach employs ultrafast spectroscopy techniques based on controlled sequences of ultrashort light pulses to excite and interrogate matter.
