Oliver Lindecke

Trained as an animal ecologist, I refocused from observational and descriptive work to experimental biology to better predict animal movements in a human-dominated world. My main research area is animal navigation and migration, where I integrate the physical stimuli that may determine animal decision-making through hypothesis-driven studies. Using bats as a model in both indoor and outdoor settings, I aim to understand how they use their sensory systems to perceive the environment.
