Jan Clemens

I am a computational neuroscientist striving to understand the neural basis of natural behavior, with a focus of understanding acoustic communication in insects. My goal is to link sensory cues, neural activity and behavior using computational modeling. I also develop software to make modern machine learning methods accessible to the community. In NaviSense, I will use my skills to help understand the neural basis of animal navigation and parametrize navigation hypotheses and thus “translate” between the biological hypotheses and the models and devices in RF4.
